The Last of the Mohicans is James Fenimore Cooper's second installment in the Leatherstocking Tales series, and among contemporary audiences it is the best known.

Set in the midst of the French and Indian War, The Last of the Mohicans follows the adventures of Natty Bumppo, a British scout, and his Iroquois companions Chingachgook and his son Uncas.
